Idees (Debutant), an initiation to learn french, aims to develop young learners’ interest in french. The book offers multiple ways to acquire and enhance linguistic, communicative, and cultural skills in french.

The eight lessons of the book cover all competencies in language i.e. reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The themes and contexts to which the learner can identify easily have been selected carefully. with the objective to make the learning and teaching process easy, interesting, and interactive, the book includes simple dialogues, role-plays, poems and rhymes, playful activities, games, drawing and colouring activities with images. The explanation of all the grammar concepts has been simplified by the least possible usage of English as the medium of instruction. Illustration reflecting today’s french and francophone culture and society have been chosen to arouse the curiosity of the learner.
