Ripples is an integrated multi-skill, learner-friendly, cross-curricular course in English designed to enhance the confidence and communicative competence of the learners at all levels in the use of English for academic and non-academic purposes and meet the communicative challenges in real life. It is through natural and spontaneous application of language skills and life skills in real life situations that the series tries to facilitate the holistic development of learners.
The books have been designed and developed by a team of seasoned ELT practitioners and teacher educators. Focus is laid on the emerging role of learners as autonomous learners and parents as facilitators. All the four language skills, study skills, vocabulary, grammar and co-scholastic skills are seamlessly integrated. Listening and Speaking Skills are provided for adequate practice in Communication Skills. Series of Project Works is included at all levels to train students in co-scholastic skills, life skills and human values. In-Text Questions within the lessons and Self-Assessment Sheets have been provided in the text books at each level to help the learners gauze their progress from time to time.
